Undergraduate Scholarship ApplicationWho's Eligible?Undergraduate scholarships are available for $2,500 per year to college sophomores and juniors enrolled or planning to enroll in a full-time, four or five-year ABET or ACCE accredited construction or civil/construction engineering program. This scholarship is renewable each year for up to $7,500 total. To renew the scholarship, each year students must furnish grade transcripts, maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0, and submit an upcoming class schedule. Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen or documented permanent resident (must furnish proof of permanent residence if not a citizen). High school students and college freshmen are not eligible. How to ApplyThe AGC Foundation now offers a fast, convenient online application which makes applying for a scholarship easier than ever. This online form allows you to save your data and revisit your application to makes changes at a later time using a unique username and password that you create. For students who don't want to apply online, paper applications may be downloaded at www.agcfoundation.org, or you may ask to have a copy mailed to you via email at foundation@agc.org. Application RequirementsEach applicant must complete ALL sections of the application and attach an electronic copy of his/her official transcript before submitting it to the AGC Foundation. The applicant must also identify two people to provide evaluations for him/her including one college faculty member and one employment supervisor. Emails will be sent to each evaluator requesting their input. Completed evaluations will be sent directly to the AGC Foundation; however, the applicant may review the status of each evaluation at any time through the Application Status page. The deadline for application submission is November 1, at 11:59 pm. Award Selection and NotificationApplications are reviewed and semi-finalists are selected by the AGC Foundation Board of Directors in January. Semi-finalists are notified in February and are required to participate in a personal interview with a contractor in their local area. Winners are notified in March and announced at the AGC Annual Convention. Checks will be sent directly to the student in August before the Fall semester begins.
